Andrea Narins - Biography
The strongest influence on my development as an artist was my mother, a classically trained and gifted concert pianist. I started in music but felt drawn to the visual arts. I’m indebted to her for her passion for artistic expression, and the encouragement and support she always provided.
I started taking photographs around 30 years ago, at art school; where I experimented in combination with silkscreen and ceramics. As a professional makeup artist, I have worked in opera, theatre, live performance, film, print and fashion for 25 years.

I am among 50 photographers selected to participate in a juried review with Photo Alliance, held at the San Francisco Art Institute in March 2007.
